For crew
A résumé says where you have been. A skill check says what you know. Twelve timed questions on your trade, drawn at random, scored by topic. Put the result on your profile or keep it to yourself.
For production
You are hiring someone you have never met on a recommendation from someone you barely know. Skill checks give you something to look at: how they scored, and where they were strong. Ask any crew member to take one.
Skill checks are not certifications and do not replace ETCP, OSHA or any other credential. They are a quick, honest signal about working knowledge, nothing more.

What it costs.
ProTourBooking is free to use right now, for crew and for production.
Do my crew have to pay anything?+
No. Crew accounts are free and they always will be. Posting your dates, answering holds, building out your gear and certs, messaging a production manager: none of it costs anything, ever. If you are telling your crew to get on here, you are not signing them up for a bill.
Will production companies get charged later?+
Eventually, yes. When that happens it will land somewhere in the range of $10 to $40 a month depending on the size of your company, there will still be a free tier for smaller shops, and we will give plenty of notice first. What it will never be priced on is how many crew you work with. The size of your roster has no bearing on what you pay.
What happens to my profile and my history if pricing changes?+
It stays yours. Your dates, your holds, your crew list, your past bookings. Nothing you build here gets locked behind a payment later on.
Can this be customized for my production company?+
Often, yes. Custom role names, your own gear and certification categories, branding your crew sees, exports that match the paperwork you already use. Head to the contact page and tell us what you need. If it is something other companies would want too, there is a good chance it ends up getting built.
Why is it free now?+
Because a booking tool is only useful if the people you want to hire are already on it. Being genuinely useful matters more right now than charging for it.
